Rainbow Preschool is a program run through the Tuscola Technology Center and the Professions in Education class. It is appropriate for students age 3-5 years. Rainbow Preschool runs from October to May on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. There is a morning or afternoon session available. Morning time is 8:45-10:45 and afternoon is 12:15-2:15.

Have you always wanted to join the Medical field?  Become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).   Did you know that Michigan is ranked 2nd in the nation for hiring Certified Clinical Medical Assistants?  CCMA graduates work in doctor's offices, clinics, hospitals and beyond.

 Tuscola ISD's Adult Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Program 

Students will learn the tasks associated with a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and will prepare to take the National Health Career Association’s (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Exam.  This class portion is 140 hours in total. 

What You’ll Learn:

       *Examinations          

       *Procedures

       *Placements of Cardiac Lead  

       *Phlebotomy

Class session:

Fees include tuition, books, American Red Cross Basic Life Support Certification, 160 hour externship placement and National Healthcare Association (NHA) testing fees.

NHA testing done onsite at Tuscola Technology Center.

Registration must be completed 7 days prior to the start of class.  Space is limited and classes fill quickly so register early!

Upon registering for this program students are required to meet the minimum requirements and complete a criminal background check.(Contact the Adult & Community Education Office for more details.  989- 673-2144 extention 30379). 

Students must have a High School Diploma or a GED in order to take the national certification exam.

 

 

 

 

Tiny Tunes Music Class (ages 3-5)

Basic MIG Welding

Basic MIG Welding

Instruction in: Basic welding safety and general introduction to MIG welding Basic GMAW theory GMAW (MIG) set-up and parameters for welding GMAW short circuit, spray, and pulsed spray transfer modes 1f through 2f GMAW welds on mild steel A CWI tested welding qualification from AWS D1.1 code Students must maintain high attendance to attempt this test.

 Supplies provided include:  Welding jacket, gloves, safety glasses, head cap, welding hoods temporarily assigned to each student, & welding supplies.

Students MUST wear jeans or appropriate work pants and leather boots to weld.

Adult Certified Nurse Assistant Program

Have you ever  considered caring for others as a career? Do you want to make a difference in patient's lives?  Become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) by joing Tuscola Technology Center's Adult Community Education CNA class. Students will learn basic health care procedures and prepare to take the State of Michigan CNA test located at the Tuscola Technology Center.

Class consists of: Bookwork, clinical practice, American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification and Clinical experience at Tuscola Medical Care Community.  

What you will learn-emergency and accident prevention, observations and charting, reading vital signs, making beds, skin care, personal care and grooming of residents, lifting and moving residents, basic nutrition and diets, care of sub-acute patients and basic emergency care. 

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 11:30am to 4:30pm
